This two and a half day immersion serves those leading city center churches, who are in the process of “repurposing” to meet the challenges of an ever-changing mission field.
With apologies to suburban churches, IT’S A NEW DAY IN THE CITY is a nation-wide training event and morale booster for church leaders seeking to navigate what it means to lead a church IN the city.  Join other city center church leaders as you hear the story of MVP UMC and are inspired to write the story of your church’s makeover. Learn the steps to ensure a wonderful repurposing celebrated by both veterans and newcomers.  See the joy on the faces of those coming through your front door, who only a generation ago would not feel welcome.
If you are bold enough to think city center churches still have a place and a purpose, this workshop is for you!

NOT FOR PASTORS ONLY. Bring team leaders/ members. Together, you can work on the “action steps” needed to launch your next chapter of ministry.

Some of the TOPICS covered:
•  Overcoming urban stereotypes
•  Taking stock of remnants
•  Building the new congregation
•  Reintroducing your church to the neighborhood
•  Building ministries that matter
